Rocky Mountain Charter School – Current Status Update
August 15, 2026
Dear Parents and Families,
We would like to provide an update to the many families who have contacted us regarding the status of Rocky Mountain Charter School.
RMCSF continues to actively pursue an appropriate facility for Rocky Mountain Charter School. While significant work has been undertaken toward securing a suitable location, a facility has not yet been finalized.
As a result, RMCS will not be opening for the start of the September 2026 school year.
We recognize that families need certainty when making educational arrangements for their children. Parents should therefore continue with their current or alternative school arrangements for the 2026–2027 school year unless and until RMCSF announces a confirmed opening date.
Our work to establish Rocky Mountain Charter School is continuing. RMCSF remains committed to the approved educational vision of the school and to securing an appropriate facility that will allow the school to move forward.
We are continuing to work through the necessary facility and planning processes and will provide families with further information when there are material developments that can be publicly confirmed.
We sincerely appreciate the continued interest, patience and support of the many families who have expressed their desire to be part of the Rocky Mountain Charter School community.
